- 200g ground pork or chicken
- 2 tbsp finely chopped scallions
- 5 prawns, chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp white pepper
- ½ tsp salt

Preparation:
1. Prepare the filling:
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, prawns, scallions, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, white pepper, and salt.
- Mix until the ingredients are well combined and slightly sticky. Set aside.
2. Assemble the dumpling bags:
- Place a popiah skin on a flat surface and add about 1 tsp of filling in the center.
- Gather the edges of the wrapper around the filling, forming a pouch.
- Use a blanched chive or green onion stalk to tie the top of the pouch, securing it in place.
3. Cook the dumplings:
- Frying Method: Heat oil in a small wok at medium heat. Arrange the dumpling bags and fry until they turn golden brown.
4. Serve:
- Arrange the dumpling bags on a plate and serve hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
